Rough Justice: ’84 from Gamma Minus was shortlisted for the Develop Brighton Indie Showcase ’23
At Develop:Brighton each year there’s a dedicated area within the Expo called the Indie Showcase featuring 10 independently developed games that have been shortlisted by a panel of industry experts. More info about Develop Brighton and the Indie Showcase can be found on their website.
Rough Justice: ’84 was recently nominated for “Best Concept” as part of the German Dev Days ’23 Awards.
The awards were part of the German Dev Days Conference which is an industry-wide event that took place in Frankfurt on June 6th and 7th 2023
Stray Blade from Point Blank Games was part of the official selection and showcase at the 2022 Tokyo Gameshow. Check out the game trailer from the event here. The official programs attracted 2.7 million views in total, and the total number of visitors to TGSVR2022 was 398,622
Rough Justice: ’84 wins the Indie Cup Germany ’22 Unreal Engine Spotlight Award.
Indie Cup Germany’22 gathered 73 local independent games. You can browse all of them on the event’s website – with 30+ public demos available.
Gamma Minus receives an Epic MegaGrant for Rough Justice: ’84. Epic MegaGrants is a $100 million program designed to service and assist creators by doing outstanding work with Unreal Engine or enhancing open-source capabilities for the 3D graphics community.
The Nordic Game Discovery Contest (NGDC) – is an exciting series of events where selected game projects are showcased live in pitch competitions at partner events across Europe and around the globe. Rough Justice: ’84 wins NGDC qualifier at Global Games Pitch. More info can be found on their website.
The Rough Justice: ’84 Alpha Demo was available during the 2022 Steam Next Fest, a multi-day celebration of upcoming games. During the event, gamers get to explore and play hundreds of game demos, watch developer live streams, and chat with teams about their games in progress, coming soon to Steam.
Yogcase Tiny Teams is all about celebrating games made by solo developers and micro-studios, helping them connect not only with the Steam audience but with content creators across our Yogscast network and beyond. If you want to see your game played on stream to an audience of thousands, this is a good place to do it. Rough Justice: ’84 was showcased in the 2022 event.
The devcom NRW Indie Expo 2022 – Hybrid Edition funded by the Premier of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia was part of devcom Developer Conference 2022.
30+ playable game projects were shown on-site, including Rough Justice: ’84. Additionally, we will select playable projects to be presented in our virtual NRW Indie Expo 2022.
Rough Justice: ’84 was featured on the G.Round platform from June 2, 2022 – to June 29, 2022. G.Round is a platform that allows gamers to be an early glimpse of games and more crucially, allows them to give developers their honest-to-goodness feedback, which is extremely valuable. Rough Justice: ’84 was nominated for the Colors of Indie Award.
Mooneye Indies have launched their first “Colors of Indie” award this year, where indie studios can win $1000. To participate, developers had to upload a compelling pitch for an unpublished game on TikTok.

The devcom NRW Indie Expo 2022 –was funded by the Premier of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and was a big part of the devcom Developer Conference 2022.
30+ playable game projects were shown on-site, Rough Justice: ’84 being one of them! There was also a Let’s Play session with all participating games on the devcom Twitch channel during #ddc2022 from August 22 to August 26.
The Alpha Demo of Rough Justice: ’84 was showcased at the Indie Game Fest on June 23rd-24th 2022 in Cologne, Germany.
Created in 2019, the Indie Game Fest is a curated, annual event that is held in Cologne, Germany. The goal of Indie Game Fest is to create a gathering and community for indie developers, designers, publishers, business associates, students, and more in Germany and Europe! The event aims to help create visibility and opportunities for gamers, indie studios, publishers, business associates, and more to be able to meet and present themselves and their work.
Rough Justice: ’84 was showcased during PAX Rising Online ’22. The event is a celebration of indie games featuring a hand-selected list of titles, all of which will have a free demo/trial available during the event on July 9th and 10th, 2022. Kicking off the event will be the PAX Rising Online Direct, a rundown of the participating titles hosted by Jerry “Tycho” Holkins and Kris Straub, to be followed by Industry Roundtables, Post Mortems, and Let’s Plays all featuring the developers of the games. Since 2012 A MAZE. awards The Most Amazing Game. The winner is selected by an interdisciplinary, international, and 100% independent jury. Rough Justice: ’84 was part of the official selection.
Unfold Games Awards were founded by Wlad Marhulets, the developer of the critically acclaimed game DARQ, and the founder of Los Angeles-based video game development studio, Unfold Games. The competition is supported by multiple sponsors and a panel of judges that consists of industry professionals, members of the press, and content creators. Rough Justice: ’84 received an Honorable Mention.
The Indie Arena Booth is the biggest shared developer booth in the world and this year’s shows include DreamHack Leipzig (January 24th-26th) and gamescom 2020 (August 27th-30th).
The Indie Arena Booth started as a very small hand-made exhibition space for indie developers at gamescom in 2013. Since than it has grown a lot and became the place to be at gamescom for fresh indie games. Gamma Minus presented both Cold Comfort as well as Rough Justice: ’84 at the event.
Rough Justice: ’84 was one of twenty-two selected projects to receive funding from the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW.
The 3rd session for the promotion of digital games and interactive content of the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW with a total of 22 games and VR experiences were funded, six of them as production funding, ten as prototype funding and six as concept funding with a total of 1 .8 million euros.

Rough Justice: ’84 was one of 32 games that made it into the 2020 Dev Booster competition.
gamesweekdigital: Dev Booster is a new online pitching contest. It’s connecting developers with a hungry community of gamers looking for new favorites as well as future business partners and investors in a competitive format.
Rough Justice: ’84 was selected to participate in the devcom Pitch It! event on August 28th, 2020. This event is targeted exclusively at publishers and developers, with the hope of offering additional exposure. The structure of the event is4 intensive hours of 15-minute slots, with a 5-minute break between each of them – a total of 12 meetings.
Gamma Minus was selected as one of the game developers, to participate in the 2020 Spielfabrique Accelerator Program. The program is comprised of online and face-to-face coaching sessions over a period of nine to twelve months. The selected teams are individually supported in collaboration with partners and receive personalized support. The focus of the program is on aspects such as growth management, strategy optimization, market positioning, communication strategy, and public and private financing. More info can be found here.
Cold Comfort was one of ten selected projects to receive prototype funding from the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW.
Since 2011, the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW’s funding program has been supporting the development of innovative and interactive content, with a particular emphasis on games, web and mobile as well as multimedia projects.
